A distinction is made between the outer length (abbreviated Le), inner length (abbreviated Li), and pitch length. The pitch length describes the measurement of the length at approximately 3/4 of the belt height according to DIN 2215. Additionally, for reliable length measurement, the belt tension specified by the vehicle manufacturer must also be considered, as this is an important factor in the production process.
