The new high-silica compound with nanoparticles increases performance and safety in all weather conditions. The completely new profile, combined with the new patented tread pattern, provides easy handling and reduced steering effort for maximum confidence in all maneuvers. The final contact patch area is 8% wider compared to its predecessor, thanks to the variation in steel belt tensions and a strategically placed tread pattern that optimizes pressure distribution in the contact area. The Roadtec Z8 Interact achieves the best mileage in its segment and optimal wet performance throughout the tire’s lifespan, due to an innovative tread pattern, a wider and more elliptical contact patch, and a range of wear-resistant technologies not typically found in motorcycle tires. The new patented Metzeler tread pattern reduces the front tire’s land/sea ratio to 11% and the rear tire’s land/sea ratio to 13%. Strategically placed central longitudinal grooves provide ideal water drainage for more than 3/4 of all lean angles in wet conditions. The remaining tread grooves contribute to tread flexibility, expanding the contact patch for stability in dry conditions. The updated design of the Roadtec Z8 tire improves wear regularity, giving riders the advantage of consistent performance throughout the entire tire lifespan.
