A distinction is made between outer length (abbreviated as Le), inner length (abbreviated as Li), and pitch length. The pitch length describes the measurement of length at approximately 3/4 of the height of the belt according to DIN 2215. Additionally, for reliable length measurement, the tension of the belt specified by the vehicle manufacturer must also be considered, as this is also an important factor in the production process.
